Adèle Exarchopoulos Is Joining Zoë Kravitz in Megan Park's Apple Mystery
Apple's untitled mystery from My Old Ass director Megan Park has landed Adèle Exarchopoulos in a lead role opposite Zoë Kravitz, per Deadline. What she's playing hasn't been disclosed. Apple declined to comment, which is Apple's default posture on everything short of a hardware launch.
Why this pairing is interesting
Exarchopoulos has been one of the most compelling actors in French cinema since Blue Is the Warmest Color, and her English-language work has been sparing rather than absent. Kravitz has been on a run both in front of the camera and behind it after directing Blink Twice.
Park, meanwhile, made My Old Ass — a small, sharp film about a teenager meeting her middle-aged self — and has since created Sterling Point for Prime Video, which Amazon renewed for a second season two weeks after it premiered. She is, at this point, a director studios are actively chasing.
What we don't know
Everything else. No plot details, no shoot dates, no title. "Mystery movie" is doing heavy lifting in every write-up, including this one.
Two leads with this much presence in a genre film from a director who is very good at small human scenes. I'll take the odds.
