Arc Raiders Film and TV Adaptations: Embark CEO Weighs Up Offers
Embark’s Patrick Söderlund says there’s strong interest in Arc Raiders adaptations, but stresses the need for the right approach. No projects are in motion yet, though the IP is seen as a natural fit for the screen.
Patrick Söderlund, the boss at Embark, has revealed that plenty of companies have come knocking with ideas to turn Arc Raiders into a film or telly series. Despite the buzz, he’s not rushing into anything just yet.
“I can’t tell you how many companies have reached out to us wanting to make a TV series [or] movie out of this IP. So many,”
Söderlund shared.
“We don’t mind doing that, it will be fun, but it needs to be done in the right way. I mean, I hope that we will do that. I think the IP fits quite well with something like that.”
He made it clear there’s no one currently working on a screen version.
“We don’t have anyone working on a TV or film adaptation yet.”
So, while the interest is there, nothing’s been signed off or started. The team at Embark seem keen, but only if the project gets the care it deserves.
Arc Raiders’ Popularity Draws Hollywood’s Eye
Since its launch in October 2025, Arc Raiders has made a splash with both critics and punters. The extraction shooter has shifted around 12 million copies, and at its peak, more than 3 million players were jumping in at once. That sort of success hasn’t gone unnoticed by film and TV studios, who are clearly eager to get a piece of the action. Still, no deals have been made public, and the studio is holding out for the right fit.
Fans have been speculating about what a screen adaptation could look like, but for now, they’ll have to keep waiting. The creators are in no hurry to hand over the reins unless they’re sure the end result will do the game justice.
Video Game Adaptations on the Rise
While Arc Raiders’ future on screen is still up in the air, other big-name games are making the leap. Fallout’s second season is airing on Prime Video, and Return to Silent Hill is set to hit cinemas on 26 January 2026. The trend of turning games into films and series is showing no signs of slowing down, with more titles lined up for release in 2026 and beyond.
For those keen to keep track of what’s coming, there are guides out there covering all the upcoming game-to-screen projects. As for Arc Raiders, it’s a waiting game to see if and when it’ll join the list.
