Bam Margera Pops Up in Next Jackass Film with Unseen Clips
Bam Margera is set to feature in the upcoming Jackass film through never-before-seen archival footage, surprising fans with a return that doesn’t involve new stunts. The film lands in cinemas on 26 June 2026.
Bam Margera is making an unexpected appearance in the next instalment of the Jackass franchise, but not in the way punters might expect. The much-anticipated film, set to hit Aussie cinemas on 26 June 2026, will be the first Jackass flick since 2022’s Jackass Forever. This time around, Margera won’t be risking life and limb with fresh antics, but will instead show up via previously unreleased footage from the archives.
Archival Footage Brings Margera Back
During the production of the last film, Margera was dropped from the line-up, reportedly due to ongoing struggles with substance abuse. Since then, he’s been pretty vocal about his feelings towards the franchise, making it clear he had no intention of returning. Back in 2025, he said,
“They have like new dudes, and what they did to me, making me go to treatment and paying for it, and then not putting me in a movie, and, you know, I had to go to court over it and I just, you couldn’t offer me enough money to want to do another Jackass with them.”
Despite all that, word is out that Margera will feature in the upcoming film through never-before-seen clips. He won’t be filming anything new, but fans will get a look at footage that’s been kept under wraps until now.
Cast Uncertainty and Hopes for Reconciliation
Steve-O, one of the original crew, weighed in on the possibility of Margera’s return earlier this year. Speaking in January, he said,
“There’s still some stuff that needs to be worked out, but there’s nothing that would be better than a full-circle redemption, triumphant return, and for us to ride off into the sunset on a win — all of us together.”
At this stage, it’s still up in the air who’ll be joining Johnny Knoxville for the fifth film. The official announcement came straight from Knoxville’s socials, where he told followers,
“Well a wang dang and hot damn doodle, we are starting the year off with a bang. We wanted to let you know that this summer Jackass is back!!”
Fans Eager for the Next Chapter
With the return of Jackass on the horizon, there’s plenty of buzz about what’s in store. While Margera’s involvement is limited to old footage, his presence is sure to spark interest among long-time fans. The film’s release is shaping up to be a major event for those who’ve followed the wild ride from the start.
