Crunchyroll Arc Delivers Your 2025 Anime Viewing Recap
Crunchyroll Arc brings a tailored anime year-in-review for 2025, complete with unique stats and a quirky spirit companion. Available until January 5, it spotlights top hits like My Hero Academia and Solo Leveling.
Anime fans have something new to look forward to as Crunchyroll rolls out its own take on the year-in-review trend. Subscribers can now check out Crunchyroll Arc, a feature that sums up their anime-watching habits for 2025. It’s a bit like those music streaming recaps, but for your favourite shows, and it’s designed for sharing with mates online.
According to the platform, Crunchyroll Arc is a
“personalised experience based on the anime that you loved to watch over the past year”
. It tallies up your most-watched series, total hours spent streaming, and even your longest binge streak. You’ll get a snapshot of what kind of anime punter you are, and see how your stats compare with the rest of the Crunchyroll crowd.
How to Get Your Anime Recap
To access your Arc, you’ll need the latest Crunchyroll app on your phone or tablet, and you must have been a premium member before December 1. There are a few extra boxes to tick—like having watched enough content for the system to crunch the numbers properly. If you’ve only dipped in here and there, you might not get the full experience.
Alongside your stats, you’ll be paired with a “spirit companion”—a quirky digital mate like the Sage Puff, Wandering Neko, or Bonehead Brawler. These companions add a bit of fun to your recap and give you something extra to show off when you post your results. The Arc will be available to view until January 5, so if you’re keen to see your anime year in review, don’t leave it too late.
Biggest Anime Hits of the Year
If you’ve been keeping up with the much-hyped releases, your Arc will probably feature some of the year’s standout titles. My Hero Academia’s eighth season wrapped up the beloved superhero saga, while Solo Leveling’s second season smashed records. Dan Da Dan also returned for a second round, keeping fans glued to their screens.
Even though it’s not on Crunchyroll just yet, Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle made waves in 2025, becoming the highest-grossing anime film ever and even outpacing some big Hollywood blockbusters like Superman and Fantastic Four: First Steps. It’s been a massive year for anime, with no signs of slowing down.
What’s Next for Anime Fans
Looking ahead, the anime train keeps rolling. Jujutsu Kaisen is back for a third season, and Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End returns for its second, both landing in January 2026. With so much on offer, there’s plenty for fans to get excited about as the new year kicks off.
