Disney Plus January 2026: Fresh Films and Series to Stream

January’s shaping up to be a big month for Disney Plus, with a fresh batch of films and series landing for Aussie punters. Whether you’re after a new binge or just keen to see what’s on, there’s plenty to keep you glued to the telly. From Marvel’s latest to the final episodes of a much-loved fantasy, here’s what’s streaming this month.

Marvel’s Wonder Man and Percy Jackson’s Grand Finale

Leading the charge is Wonder Man, a six-part series that gives one of Marvel’s lesser-known blokes a proper go. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II steps into the shoes of Simon Williams, an actor who stumbles into superpowers while auditioning for a superhero flick. Sir Ben Kingsley returns as Trevor Slattery, the washed-up actor who once took the mickey out of Iron Man. The whole lot drops on 27 January, so you can knock it over in a weekend if you’re keen.

Meanwhile, Percy Jackson & the Olympians is wrapping up its second season. Percy, played by Walker Scobell, finds himself on Polyphemus’s island with Annabeth, while Grover’s off chasing the Fleece. The last three episodes promise more danger and a few twists as Percy tries to save his mates and Camp Half-Blood. The season’s been a cracker, with more action and a closer look at Percy’s family ties, especially with his half-brother Tyson. The big finish lands on 21 January.

Blockbusters, Family Favourites, and New Originals

There’s no shortage of films to keep everyone happy. The Indiana Jones collection arrives on New Year’s Day, so you can relive all the classic adventures from Raiders of the Lost Ark through to Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. If you’re after something a bit different, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children and The Big Year hit the platform on 2 January.

For the little ones (or the young at heart), there’s a stack of new episodes and premieres. Marvel’s Spidey and his Amazing Friends returns for season four, and Phineas and Ferb is back with more antics in season five. Minnie’s Bow-Toons: Pet Hotel and Playdate with Winnie the Pooh also make their debut, offering plenty of family-friendly viewing.

Series Premieres and Returning Gems

January’s also packed with new series and returning favourites. Cheetahs Up Close with Bertie Gregory kicks off on 2 January, giving wildlife fans a front-row seat. The Artful Dodger, a fresh take on a classic character, premieres on 10 January. If you’re after a bit of reality, America’s Funniest Home Videos drops new seasons mid-month.

Other highlights include the return of Incredible Northern Vets, the debut of Hey A.J!, and the all-new Pole to Pole with Will Smith. For those who like a bit of action, Venom: Let There Be Carnage lands on 22 January, and Pupstruction Construction wraps up the month on 30 January.
