Amazon has revealed Fallout’s second season is now the sixth most popular ever on Prime Video, but the streamer is still keeping exact viewing numbers under wraps.

Amazon’s Fallout series is showing no signs of slowing down, with its second season now officially ranked as the sixth most popular season ever on Prime Video. Despite a shift in how new episodes are released, the adaptation of the iconic video game franchise is proving a hit with punters both at home and abroad. The show’s return has also made it the third most successful returning series on the platform, trailing only behind The Rings of Power and Reacher.

According to Amazon MGM Studios’ Head of Global TV, Peter Friedlander,

“After its first four weeks, Fallout S2 already ranks as the sixth most-watched season ever on Prime Video and is even higher rated on Rotten Tomatoes than season 1.”

The second season currently boasts a 97% score on Rotten Tomatoes, nudging past the first season’s 93%.

International Appeal and Viewing Habits

One of the big reasons for Fallout’s ongoing success is its global reach. More than half—53%—of viewers tuning in for the second season are from outside the US. This international audience has helped push the show up the charts, even as Amazon keeps the actual viewing figures close to its chest.

For context, the first season pulled in a massive 65 million viewers within just 16 days of its release in 2024. With the second season sitting just behind its predecessor in the all-time top 10, it’s clear the numbers are still impressive, even if they haven’t been made public yet.

Weekly Release Strategy and What’s Next

Unlike the first season, which dropped all episodes at once, the current run is being released weekly. So far, six out of eight episodes have landed, with the finale scheduled for 4 February 2026. This staggered approach might be why Amazon is holding off on sharing detailed stats for now.

The next episode, number six, is set to arrive on 8 February. Fans keen to keep up can check the release schedule to make sure they don’t miss a beat. The weekly rollout has sparked plenty of chatter, with viewers dissecting every Easter egg and reference as they go.

What’s on the Horizon for TV Fans

With Fallout’s second season making waves, there’s plenty more on the horizon for TV lovers in 2026. Whether you’re hanging out for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, Wonder Man, Lanterns, Spider-Man: Noir, or VisionQuest, there’s no shortage of much-hyped series to look forward to.
