Johnny Knoxville has revealed a new Jackass film is on the way, set to hit cinemas in June 2026. Paramount Pictures will distribute the much-anticipated release, with more details yet to come.

Johnny Knoxville has let slip that a fresh instalment of the Jackass franchise is locked in for 2026. Taking to Instagram, Knoxville shared the news with fans, saying,

“Well a wang dang and hot damn doodle, we are starting the year off with a bang. We wanted to let you know that this summer Jackass is back!!”

He also confirmed the film’s release date, with punters able to catch it on the big screen from 26 June 2026. Knoxville hinted that more updates are on the horizon, adding,

“More to come but wanted you to hear it from us first.”

At this stage, details about the project are being kept under wraps. What’s clear is that Paramount Pictures will be handling the distribution, keeping the tradition alive for the much-loved series. The previous film, Jackass Forever, landed in cinemas back in 2022 and made a solid impression at the box office, raking in around $80 million worldwide and topping the charts in the US.

Box Office Success and Audience Reactions

Jackass Forever didn’t just pull in the numbers; it also scored high with critics and audiences alike. In a glowing four-star review, Far Out magazine wrote,

“Without the restrictions of a pesky narrative arc or dialogue, the film is a laugh a minute, and that’s really no exaggeration. In my viewing at the IMAX, no less, the entire screening was bowled over by continuous guffaws.”

The review continued,

“No matter the stunt, swathes of people were snorting with genuine joy, shrieking with abject horror or pushing their friend in confirmation of the hilarity they had just witnessed. In truth, it was a welcome relief.”

The film’s unique brand of chaos and slapstick has always drawn crowds, with locals and long-time fans keen to see what the crew will get up to next. The anticipation for the new release is already building, even though the full cast list hasn’t been revealed yet.

Cast Uncertainty and Bam Margera’s Absence

As of now, there’s no word on who’ll be joining Knoxville for the next round of stunts and pranks. One thing seems certain: Bam Margera, a familiar face from earlier films, won’t be making a comeback. Margera was dropped from the last project due to issues with substance abuse and has since spoken out about his experience. In 2025, he commented,

“They have like new dudes, and what they did to me, making me go to treatment and paying for it, and then not putting me in a movie, and, you know, I had to go to court over it and I just, you couldn’t offer me enough money to want to do another Jackass with them.”

With the line-up still under wraps, fans are left to speculate about which familiar faces and new blokes might be part of the next wild ride. For now, all eyes are on Knoxville and the promise of more mayhem to come in 2026.
