After the events of WandaVision, Vision’s fate has been kept tightly under wraps. Now, fans have reason to get excited, as Paul Bettany has confirmed he’ll be stepping back into the role for the upcoming Avengers: Secret Wars. In a recent chat, the actor let slip that he’s got some work lined up for the much-hyped film, with production tipped to kick off in the middle of 2026.

While the filming schedule could shift depending on how things go behind the scenes, it’s now clear that Vision will be back for the next big chapter. Before he pops up in Secret Wars, though, punters can look forward to seeing Bettany’s character in his own Disney+ series, VisionQuest.
Wanda and Vision: Will They Cross Paths Again?
The multiverse storyline in the MCU has had its ups and downs, but it all kicked off on a strong note with WandaVision. The series remains a standout among Marvel’s TV offerings, thanks in large part to the chemistry between Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda and Bettany’s Vision.
Despite a few wobbles in the show’s second half, the relationship between the two leads was a real highlight. With Vision set to return in Secret Wars, there’s plenty of chatter about whether Wanda, who seemed to meet her end in Multiverse of Madness, might also make a comeback.
Given how the MCU treats death these days, it wouldn’t be a shock to see her again. Olsen herself has said she won’t be appearing in Doomsday, but she’s open to playing Wanda in the future.
I’ve been really proud of what we’ve been able to make. Really proud… I want to see [her] return in this role because I think what they’ve done with her is really great, and I love the journey she’s taken. I think it’s always a fun one to get to go back into, and I just have no idea how or when, for sure.
What’s Next for Vision and the MCU?
After everything Wanda’s been through since Vision’s death, there’s hope that Secret Wars might give her a shot at redemption. A reunion between the two could end up being one of the most touching moments in the MCU, but for now, fans will just have to wait and see what’s in store.
