Samara Weaving Returns in Wild Ready or Not 2 Trailer
The first look at Ready or Not 2: Here I Come teases a blood-soaked sequel packed with offbeat humour, a deadly new game, and a star-studded cast ready for chaos.
The much-anticipated trailer for Ready or Not 2: Here I Come has finally dropped, and it’s clear the sequel isn’t holding back on the gore or the laughs. The original film was known for its over-the-top violence and tongue-in-cheek style, but this new chapter seems to be doubling down on both. The promo opens with Samara Weaving’s Grace, battered and bandaged, lying in a hospital bed.
“Thank God it’s over,”
she sighs, but it’s obvious her troubles are far from finished.
Instead of recovering, Grace finds herself caught up in another twisted contest. The old game of ‘Hide or Seek’ is out the window—now it’s all about ‘Double or Nothing’. The stakes are higher, the rules are nastier, and the players are even more ruthless.
New Faces, New Threats
Elijah Wood steps in as a sharply dressed, scheming figure who wastes no time letting Grace know she’s in deeper than she realises.
“You’ve caused quite the stir. You married into that family, now they’re dead. What you didn’t know is that this goes far beyond them,”
he tells her, making it clear she’s now up against the shadowy High Council.
Grace isn’t keen to play along, muttering,
“I’m not playing,”
but her resolve wavers when Wood’s character introduces her sister Faith, played by Kathryn Newton. The threat is simple: play the game, or her sister pays the price. With no real choice, Grace is dragged back into the chaos, and the blood starts to flow.
Star-Studded Cast and Relentless Action
The mayhem ramps up as a new group of hunters, including Nestor Carbonell, Shawn Hatosy, Varan Sarunga, and Sarah Michelle Gellar, arm themselves and set out after the sisters. The supporting cast is rounded out by Kevin Durand, Olivia Cheng, and David Cronenberg, though they don’t make an appearance in the teaser.
Directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, who helmed the first film, are back at the wheel, promising more of the same wild energy that made the original a hit with horror fans. The sequel is set to hit cinemas on 10 April 2026, and if the trailer’s anything to go by, punters are in for a wild ride.
