Jayne Trcka, famed for her role in Scary Movie and her achievements in bodybuilding and wrestling, has died at 62. Her son confirmed her passing, with the cause of death yet to be determined.

Jayne Trcka, who made a name for herself as an actor, bodybuilder, and wrestler, has died at the age of 62. Her son confirmed the news, stating she passed away on 12 December 2025. At this point, the reason for her death remains unknown. A representative from the San Diego Medical Examiner’s office noted there was trauma present, but said, “there was trauma to [Trcka’s] body, but we wouldn’t be able to indicate cause of death at this time”.

Trcka’s journey in bodybuilding began in the late 1980s, though she didn’t fully commit to the sport until about ten years later. By 2000, she’d shifted her focus to acting, landing the part of Miss Mann in the comedy film Scary Movie. Her acting credits also include roles in The Black Magic, Nudity Required, The Interplanetary Surplus Male and Amazon Women of Outer Space, and Cattle Call. She even popped up as a prison guard in Lady Gaga’s ‘Telephone’ music video and made guest appearances on television, including a spot on Who’s Line Is It Anyway?

From Bodybuilding to the Big Screen

Before her time in the spotlight, Trcka was already well-known in fitness circles. She started competing in bodybuilding competitions in the late ‘80s, but it wasn’t until the late ‘90s that she took it on as a full-time gig. Her move into acting saw her take on a variety of roles, with her performance in Scary Movie as Miss Mann standing out as a career highlight. She continued to work in both film and television, showing her versatility across genres.

Outside of entertainment, Trcka also worked as a realtor in California, balancing her property career with her commitments in fitness and show business. Her ability to juggle multiple careers was well recognised by those who knew her.

Wrestling Roots and Early Ambitions

Wrestling was Trcka’s first passion. In an interview with Muscle Magazine, she shared memories from her childhood, saying,

“I remember standing in my underwear in our living room, having boxing and wrestling matches with my brother.”

She also recalled,

“I used to chase the neighbourhood boys with angleworms; I loved to have the upper hand on the boys.”

Performing under the name Kasie Cavanaugh in her younger years, Trcka’s love for wrestling never faded, even as her career branched out into other areas.

Her legacy spans the worlds of sport, film, and television, leaving a lasting impression on fans and colleagues alike.
