Shakira’s Red Carpet Close Call at Zootopia 2 Premiere
Shakira stepped out with her sons for the Zootopia 2 premiere, but a tricky dress moment on the red carpet had everyone talking. Fans are split over what really happened.
Shakira made a rare public appearance alongside her two boys, Milan and Sasha, at the Zootopia 2 premiere, but the night nearly took a turn when her outfit needed some last-minute attention. The singer chose a lavender turtleneck dress with long sleeves and a flowing, uneven hem for the occasion. However, the dress proved a bit of a handful, with her stylist stepping in to adjust it more than once before the cameras.
Red Carpet Tension: Dress Drama Unfolds
Footage from the event shows the stylist approaching Shakira three separate times to fix the hem, which sat high on her left thigh. Each time, the adjustments seemed to drag on, drawing mixed reactions from onlookers. Some punters reckoned it was just part of the job, while others felt the situation was handled poorly, especially given Shakira’s visible discomfort. At one point, she placed her hands protectively over the area, making it clear she wasn’t at ease.
One comment summed up the mood:
You can see the uncomfortable reaction. That means no
Fans Weigh In: Divided Opinions
The incident quickly sparked debate online. Some fans defended the stylist, suggesting he was simply trying to prevent a wardrobe mishap under the harsh glare of the red carpet lights. Others, though, felt the repeated adjustments crossed a line, especially as Shakira’s discomfort became more obvious. Comments ranged from supportive to critical, with a few highlighting the importance of reading body language in these situations.
Among the responses:
He was genuinely trying to fix something on her where it looks like her body was popping out, and he was trying to fix it because of how it would’ve looked with the camera flashes. He was really looking out for her.
He’s trying to help & there’s no ill intentions but the timing was off. 😂
Stylist loves their design and don’t like when it’s not perfect.
SHE SHOULDN’T HAVE WORN THAT BUT HE MADE HER TOO UNCOMFORTABLE INFRONT OF HER CHILDREN AND THE VIEWERS
In our industry reading body language is very important, I didn’t see any malicious behavior but she was clearly uncomfortable and that’s the issue. As a professional you must find a way to resolve the issue without causing these situations
Everyone saying she was uncomfortable cuz of him. Look at her walk away. She’s covering that area. She’s uncomfortable due to the dress and the possible exposure it could give. Her stylist sees this and tries to help. He is doing that in reaction to her reaction wearing the dress. Not the other way around
This is why I don’t like stylists sometimes. They don’t know when to stop fixing the clothes, hair etc. like you are in front of cameras read the room.
He wasn’t fixing anything…he was violating her in front of the world. At what point do people become self aware? The lack there of is concerning
I get that he might have wanted the dress to look perfect but to ignore all the signs and not acknowledge that she was not okay with what he was doing is appalling. She’s not his mannequin, she’s a living, breathing person with feelings that should be respected
The comments show just how split people are, with some blaming the outfit and others the stylist’s approach. The debate looks set to continue for a while yet.
Zootopia 2: What’s New in the Sequel
The much-anticipated Zootopia 2 finally hit cinemas on 26 November 2025, nearly ten years after the original. This time, the trailer kept things mysterious, showing Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde, and a new villain, but without any dialogue. There’s also a new character, Gary De’Snake, who shakes things up in the city of Metropolis.
Judy and Nick are back on the case, but instead of tracking down missing animals, they’re undercover, investigating Gary De’Snake. The sequel also takes viewers to new parts of the city, including marshes and desert areas, adding fresh scenery to the story.
The cast sees the return of familiar voices: Ginnifer Goodwin as Judy, Jason Bateman as Nick, Shakira as Gazelle (with a new look and song), and Idris Elba as Chief Bogo. Newcomers include Ke Huy Quan as Gary, Fortune Feimster as Nibbles the beaver, Quinta Brunson as Dr. Fuzzby the quokka therapist, and Dwayne Johnson pops up in a cameo as Zeke the dik-dik.
Locals are already chatting about the film and whether it lives up to the hype. With the sequel now showing in cinemas, plenty are keen to see what all the fuss is about.
